Green Jobs Radio Tour – June, 2009 StraussRadio Strategies, Inc. developed a two-and-a-half hour radio tour to help get the word out to various local markets about the potential benefits of free jobs that would come with federal clean jobs legislation. The legislation went through the House and Senate during the month of June, 2009.
Strauss Radio Strategies booked a total of fourteen interviews for Environmental Defense Fund spokesperson, Jackie Roberts, and a number of local spokespeople for each outlet. Interviews were conducted with two regional networks and twelve top-rated local radio stations.

All told, the interviews reached twenty local radio stations in more than eleven different DMAs (designated market areas) and were heard by at least 250,200 people (based on the most recent data from Arbitron). The interviews garnered a total of 155 airtime minutes and an ad equivalency value of $46,500. In other words, this project reached more than two hundred and fifty thousand listeners and was valued at over forty six thousand dollars.
